Nakorn Phink Concert March “The Celebration Song”

It is a fun arrangement of northern folk songs in a concert march style.

The song is introduced as a fanfare  but with a northern melody inserted in the intro. Section A uses the song “Soi Wiang Ping” as the main melody. In section A2, the melody of the song “Pan Fai” is used as the counter melody. This section has a fun melody mixed with softness. The B section uses the melody of the song Pi Mai Muang as the melody, with the Low Brass group alternating with Woodwind and Horns, conveying the Songkran Festival of the New Year, which is characterized by the splashing of water and the making of merit at the temple on New Year’s Day.This Trio section uses the song Pan Fai (Sao Mai) as the soft main melody, mixed with the counter melody of the song Long Mae Ping. The last section uses the melody of section A and the Trio section together.
