Program Note

The piece was composed during a sleepless night by the composer. After suffering from insomnia, the composer got up from bed and rushed to compose this piece with surrounding melodies in his head. The composer wants to tell a story, of how hard and how furious he is to force himself to sleep. The piece started with an energetic French Horn theme and Brass hits go along with the hemiola effect. Brahms’ Lullaby was taken for a quotation in a slow section before the music started to get furious again. The final section ends with Brass’ heroic melody to force himself to sleep before dawn.
